FREE BOOK SUNDAY! Introducing NetGalley

HAPPY FREE BOOK SUNDAY, DEAR READERS!

For those of you unfamiliar with it, NetGalley is the leading way authors and publishers introduce new books.

And during this introduction phase, which can last for a few months, the new books are FREE. The only requirement is that you leave a review at some point shortly after publication, either on Amazon or Goodreads or Kobo or wherever the book shows up with a review section (usually just a couple places).

I have three free books on Netgalley presently, and include here your personal invitations to read them.  I've posted some early reviews with each book.

This does everything that I was hoping for based on the cover and the description. I was hooked from the first page and was thoroughly invested in what was going on. The characters were what I was looking for and it had a great adventure element to it. I enjoyed the way Michael Martin wrote this and am excited to read more. --

ABOUT DEATH MAGNANIMOUS
https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/book/285146

Michael Martin wowed me with this brilliantly written book. Part Legal in the right to choose death, part medical.

Charles Chessman burned over 60% of his body with 3rd-degree burns in an airplane crash and is sadly going thru hell as medical personnel attempt to keep him alive and comfortable.

Sadly, his chance to end his life legally is very slim. I was in awe of his journal with all his pain, yet he endured more than anyone should imagine. I was all in as Charles Chessman went thru even feeling love, and loss and finding he was not alone. Beautiful, heart-touching book.

Hotshot lawyer Charlie Chessman wants to die. After he suffers horrific burn injuries in a light plane crash, he’s transferred to a cutting edge burns unit where the medical staff painstakingly try to restore his ability to live a normal life.

But despite the devotion of his sister, the crush he develops on a beautiful  and intelligent burns nurse, and the disturbing attentions of Louis, his personal hospital assistant, Charlie’s still determined to end it all.

The book, beautifully written and with flawlessly authentic dialogue, is an exploration not so much of suicide as of what it feels like to live on the edge of death. Gritty,  moving, and worth it.  -- F. L. Rose, author of The Point of Us

There are two choices at play in Death Magnanimous: the external---Can I kill myself?—and the internal---Will I kill myself?  Ironically and beautifully, and with remarkably spot-on dialog throughout, we see Charlie Chessman learn that even after tragedy, even after everything you’ve known is flipped upside down, life will go on. We are the only ones who can decide if and how we want to be a part of it. -- Savannah S, Advance Reader Review
